Operating Manager
Charity Baril Saneholtz is our Office Manager as well as the accounts receivable and payable specialist. Since 1998, Charity has worked for Baril Compliance Service handling all aspects of compliance and is the CFO & COO of the company. She is very involved in her children’s education. Charity is a life-long Sonoma County resident and enjoys adventures with her family and creative pursuits.
PAM SOTAK
Licensing Specialist
Pam Sotak handles licensing for sales to consumers and 3-tier wholesalers. She has great attention to detail, is confident and a very quick learner. We love how fearless she is in taking on any project we give her—she excels at pushing projects through! She’s lived in Sonoma County since 1988. She has two children and she is an avid sports fan. She has been with Baril Compliance Service since 2019.
OLIVIA SOARES
Compliance Specialist
Olivia Soares came to us with considerable managerial experience in the food service industry, which is reflected in her excellent customer service and teamwork abilities. She handles brand registrations, distributor changes, price filings and monthly reports. Olivia has proven to be an extremely quick learner and is a great asset to our company. She loves spending a lot of time outdoors with her children, teaching them cooking skills, and is a Santa Rosa native. She has been with Baril Compliance Service since 2021.
MAX FLORIAN
Licensing Specialist
Max Florian works in the licensing department for 3-tier wholesaler shipments and sales to consumers. He came to us with state government as well as winery experience and has proven to be a very fast learner and is great at researching for clarity on difficult issues and works very well with regulators. He grew up in the Midwest, and loves living in Sonoma County with all its natural beauty. He loves playing basketball and is very interested in winemaking. He has been with Baril Compliance Service since 2023.
TAYLOR MARCHAND
ABC-TTB Assistant and Compliance Specialist
Taylor has been working in the wine industry since 2009. He’s worked at over a dozen wineries, starting with lab technician, managed custom crush clients and bottling products ranging from canned wines to custom cocktails. Taylor has made his own wine as well as securing trademarks and patents in the wine industry and beyond. He handles ABC-TTB tax filings, fictitious business name filings, formulas, COLA’s, trade name searches and other ABC-TTB compliance needs. In addition, he handles brand registrations, distributor changes, price filings and monthly reports. Taylor loves living in California, from slopes to surf! He has been with Baril Compliance Service since 2022.

Compliance Specialist
Rebecca came to us with Wine Club coordinator experience which has proven to be a great start to learning compliance. She handles brand registrations, distributor changes, price filings and monthly reports. Rebecca is a quick learner, great with customer service and a team player. She’s a Sonoma County native and is an avid bowler with her family, loves to travel and have adventures. She’s worked for Baril Compliance Service since 2022.
LORA HARRIS
Compliance Specialist
Lora came to us with 35+ years in the field of winery compliance which is a great asset to our company. She handles brand registrations, distributor changes, price filings and monthly reports. Lora has a breadth of understanding that brings a level of overviewing our clients compliance that is much appreciated. Lora has lived in Sonoma County for most of her life and enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and extensive family. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting and supporting the local bay area sports teams.
HEATHER GIBESON
Compliance Specialist
Heather has a lot of office experience, including graphic design and executive assistant. She specializes in monthly reports, assists in AP/AR and loves to pitch in wherever needed. Heather is intuitive, always seeing what needs to be done and jumps right in. She’s lived all over the US, and has lived in Santa Rosa with her husband since 2017. Heather loves gaming and has rescued 2 senior animals, a dog named Agatha “the hound of death” Cromwell and a cat named Edward “Ed” Teach. She’s worked for Baril Compliance Service since 2023.

Founder
Elise Baril is one of the country's leading experts in the field of out-of-state compliance since 1988. Elise loves compliance, she enjoys problem-solving and smoothing over the onerous business of compliance so that her clients can focus on making and selling their wines. She has lived in Sonoma County all her life, raised her two daughters here and dotes on her four grandchildren. Elise and her husband enjoy travel, camping, fishing and entertaining their friends at their home near Annadel State Park.
